Confused121,welcome to this site-Alcohol and cocaine you got a long row to hoe.I mayself spent about 28 years in a bottle,Ten of the years I spent drinking ,I also used cocaine It was harder for me to get away from the cocaine, then my drinking even though I kept drinking way after I stopped using cocaine. They say in AA that you can't relocate "Run From It"because you take you with you.But I did relocate and it worked. As far as the drinking I stayed put and went toe to toe with my Alcoholism and it has been a tough battle,But wouldn't have had it any other way.Today my life is what I make it.And today I choose to stay sober.I just work on today never getting ahead of myself.Do me a favor go on this site to the 12 steps or if you have a Big Book page 58 "How It Works" it may help you to think some things out ok.Have you gone to a meeting at all?Or have you thought about it.I know it can be scary at first but everyone around that room has been sitting were you are.You will be welcomed,And never looked down apon.God Bless you!!
